Fred: Did you finally decide on a dog?
Tom: Yes! I want a husky.
Fred: Cool! I think huskies are really clever and friendly.
Tom: They are! But the price of a husky is quite high.

Tom: I don't think that's possible.
Fred: How about another kind of dog? I think chihuahuas are very cute.

2️⃣ prefer doing A to doing B ​

  • I prefer coding to watching videos.
    （我更喜欢写代码而不是看视频）

3️⃣ prefer to do sth ​

  • I prefer to work at night.
    （我更喜欢晚上工作）

4️⃣ 否定形式 ​

  • I'd prefer not to go.
    （我宁愿不去）
